Alliances

The Conservatory has always wanted for its graduates to have advantages over grads from other schools. We have recognized that one way to help accomplish this is by developing educational alliances with equipment manufacturers. The benefits of being well connected to these companies are pretty obvious. If you can get hands-on exposure to the gear, you'll know that you understand it. But if you are given formalized training on it and walk away with a document certifying you understand it, a prospective employer will know you understand it.

The Conservatory has developed or is currently developing such relationships with Digidesign (Pro Tools), Waves (Plug-Ins), T.C. Electronic (M-3000 & S-6000), SIA (SMAART), and Emagic (Logic Audio Platinum). We also have alliances with other manufacturers that do not result in certification. These include Hafler, Studiomaster, Audio-Technica, Fender, Symetrix, Klark-Teknik, and Community. We feature software from organizations like Steinberg (Cubase) on the same basis. We are involved with the development and testing of new products with certain manufacturers. In particular, Hafler, Tascam, and Audio-Technica have used our world-class facilities for product development and testing.
